New Endorsement For Barack Obama

March 8th, 2008 · No Comments

In a move that I am sure will thrill the heck out of him, Joesbutt.com is endorsing Barack Obama for President.

He can now step up to the podium in his next new conference and say with pride, “I have received the endorsement of Joesbutt.com.”

Barack, if you read this I hope the excitement isn’t too much for you.  It would be for the average man. And when you are President, don’t forget Joesbutt.com was there for you every step of the way!

Hillary’s Experience Qualifies Her For A Job With Martha Stewart, Not As President

March 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Look up the role of a First Lady and you will discover that her job is being the hostess of the Whitehouse. Thus, when Hillary speaks of her experience in the administration she is speaking of her experience as hostess of the Whitehouse.

Orf course, there was that little foray into health care. We all know what a mess she made of that.

With her eight years of experience as a hostess, she should apply for a job with Martha Stewart, not as President.

Google Search With No Ads

March 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Have you ever been to http://www.google-find-it.com

This is not an official Google site, but it gives you the same results as Google does.  Well almost. I noticed that the first two search results always direct you to a site called jacobsearch.com.  Every search follows the same pattern. The number one result says, “All about” + your search term.  The second, “Looking for” + your search term. The remainder of the search results seem to match exactly what you get from Google, except no ads.

Not sure what this is all about, except a way to get hits for JacobSearch.com.  Apparently, it didn’t work because you always get the same page with nothing on it. Appears to be registered to some guy in Argentina. You can lookup full details with a whois search.

All in all, I must admit it is rather nice to go to a site that is plain, simple, and not filled with ads. Sure, you have to ignore the first two results, but it is a pleasure to use.

I have to wonder why Google hasn’t tried to shut down this site. It is using Google graphics and misrepresents itself as an official Google page. Maybe it just isn’t worth their time and trouble.

If anyone knows more about this site, please comment.

Rapidshare Search Engines

March 6th, 2008 · No Comments

Most of you are aware that there are quite a number of files available on Rapidshare and you have probably seen Rapidshare links on the net. Many people want to know if there are Rapidshare Search Engines that can be used to search for files on Rapidshare. The answer is yes!

There are a number of Rapidshare file search engines. Below, you will see many of them listed. I am only going to list those that actually list files that are on Rapidshare because many of the alleged Rapidshare Search Engines only list links to files on Rapidshare. This means that you have to click on the link, go to the website where it is listed, then go from there to Rapidshare. Seems like a pain to me. I want a search engine that lists the files and allows me to click the link and go directly to the Rapidshare page for downloading the file. Quick, easy, and simple!

Below is a list of the search engines I found and my opinion of them.

Rapidshare Search Engines I Like

Nice and easy, except for some ads on top, but they aren’t too bad or overpowering. At least it does what a Rapidshare Search Engine should, it lists links to files on Rapidshare, not to other sites.

Fast, not a lot of ads cluttering things up, nicely laid out, and I like it a lot.

Not as good as some of the others, but not too bad. But be sure to select the “Our Database” button at the top of the page because if you don’t you’ll get a web search and a bunch of ads at the top.

Seemed a little slow, but results were fine. Not cluttered by ads. Except for the speed issue, I like it.

Searches Rapidshare and Megaupload and results are not cluttered with ads. Results all were from rapidshare and megaupload. Has a nice feature that when you scroll down to bottom of page, it autonatically displays another page of results below, I like this one a lot!

Displayed links on other sites, but has a nice feature that extracts the links for you. Not full of ads. I like it.

Other Rapidshare Search Engines

These are other search engines that I found, but did not like because they were either down, were too full of ads, did not display Rapidshare results, or for other reasons.  Here they are, if you want to check them out.  Just because I did not like them doesn’t mean that you won’t like them.

Have fun searching!
